About Arena Sport 5 Croatia
Arena Sport is a pay-tv sports network, which is owned and operated by Telekom Srbija, or Mts. The network was launched on August 27, 2010 in Serbia, adding localized content for other neighbor nations such as Croatia since September 2010. It is one of the most popular sports channels in the country due to its content and variety of disciplines available to watch.
Since its launch, Arena Sport has included a variety of disciplines to increase its viewership, mainly thanks to the number of channels included in the network, which has increased to ten in Croatia. Some of the sports covered on this channel have included football, basketball, handball, hockey, rugby, baseball, motorsports, volleyball, tennis, and more. While domestic competitions have found their way into the channel’s grid, international tournaments and leagues from other countries have been favored in the channel’s programming over the years.
Arena Sport 5 has been known for focusing on competitions such as the Serbian Super League, cup tournaments such as the Copa del Rey, the Carabao Cup, the DFB-Pokal, and international competitions such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, especially when there are Croatian teams involved in the tournament. Added to that, the channel has also included content related to handball and volleyball to add depth to its sports coverage.
Arena Sport 5 was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a HD feed was launched during the second half of the 2010s. With the launch of the High-Definition option, users who do not have access to HD technology may tune in on the channel via a downscaled version of the HD feed.
