About BT Sport 3
BT Sport 3 is part of a group of sports channels airing content in the UK and Ireland. It is owned by BT Group and it was launched on August 1, 2015 as part of the network’s expansion to six channels. It was originally launched as BT Sport Europe, but it was rebranded to its current name on August 1, 2016.
BT Sport 3 made a name for itself by broadcasting European association sports leagues such as football and rugby. Throughout its history, BT Sport 3 aired some of the best moments of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, rugby challenges and rugby champions cups.
Football coverage for BT Sport 3 might also include overflow programming for domestic leagues such as the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and other competitions such as the Coppa Italia and the FA Cup.
