About BT Sport 3

BT Sport 3 is part of a group of sports channels airing content in the UK and Ireland. It is owned by BT Group and it was launched on August 1, 2015 as part of the network’s expansion to six channels. It was originally launched as BT Sport Europe, but it was rebranded to its current name on August 1, 2016.

BT Sport 3 made a name for itself by broadcasting European association sports leagues such as football and rugby. Throughout its history, BT Sport 3 aired some of the best moments of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, rugby challenges and rugby champions cups. 

Football coverage for BT Sport 3 might also include overflow programming for domestic leagues such as the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and other competitions such as the Coppa Italia and the FA Cup.

BT Sport 3 Broadcast Rights

UEFA Champions LeagueBT Sport has extended its exclusive broadcast deal with UEFA for the Champions League in the UK, and will provide multi-platform coverage of all Champions League matches from 2021 to 2024. The three-year agreement includes direct rights access to the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League as well, totaling 420 matches for BT Sport subscribers to watch on TV, online or on their mobile devices.
More details This Champions League broadcast rights extension in the UK will not only allow BT Sport to air matches from every stage live on its family of TV channels, but also as repeat airings. Champions League match highlights will be consistently published on social media every game week, and in-match clips will be made available as well. BT Sport viewers will be able to watch select Champions League games in 4K UHD and follow all the action live and on demand on the BT Sport App. The British pay-TV operator will reportedly pay £400m every year for its package of UEFA rights.

UEFA Europa League (2021-2024)
BT Sport have extended their UEFA Europa League rights as UK’s exclusive broadcaster until 2024. The pay-TV broadcaster will air live Europa League matches across all platforms, including television, website and mobile devices. All matches, including the Europa League final, will be available to stream live in the UK on the BT Sport App.
More details Europa League match highlights will also be published and accessible for free on the network’s social media channels each match week. Coverage of the competition will additionally include pregame and postgame shows and other auxiliary programming.

Premier LeagueBT Sport will continue to provide full coverage of the Premier League throughout the 2021/22 season, with fans of “Big Six” teams Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham, plus others like West Ham, Leicester City, Southampton, Everton, and more having multiple options to follow their favorite players.
More details A minimum of 52 games will be exclusive to BT Sport and their family of channels, with offerings being shown on TV and also available in HD. Italy - Serie A (2021-2024)
BT Sport has secured exclusive broadcast rights to Italy’s Serie A in the UK and Ireland in 2024 after signing a three year deal. As part of their arrangement, BT Sport will broadcast all games, with at least five per round being shown live for a total of over 200 live matches per season. Bonus content includes a special weekly Serie A show which will provide an overview and analysis of all the happenings around the league from the prior matchday.
