About Paramount+

Paramount+ is an OTT video streaming platform available in Latin America. It operates under Paramount Global and was originally launched as CBS All Access in October 2014. It was rebranded in March 2021 subsequent to a merger between CBS Corporation and Viacom. As a service available internationally in different parts of the world, it has had an extensive portfolio of live sporting events. Nevertheless, broadcast rights acquired for its streams may vary depending on the location, as coverage deals may be signed for specific markets only. Paramount+ has offered live football events on its platforms in the past, in high definition.

In Latin America, Paramount+ launched in early 2021, increasing the distribution of content from production brands such as CBS Television Studios, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Showtime, and Telefe.

Paramount+ Broadcast Rights

England - Premier League (2022-2025) Paramount+ has acquired English Premier League rights in Mexico and Central America in a three-year deal beginning at the start of the 2022/23 season. Paramount+ now has the rights to stream all 380 Premier League matches in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama. More details The deal makes Premier League streams available in Belize and the Dominican Republic as well on a non-exclusive basis. As part of the coverage, Paramount+ has agreed to air auxiliary shows focused on the EPL clubs and players.

Copa Libertadores (2023-2026) Paramount Global has acquired media rights to the Copa Libertadores in Brazil and Spanish-speaking Latin America from 2023 to 2026. The deal is said to include a free-to-air package in the LATAM region, and a secondary pay-TV package in Brazil.
