About Spíler1
Spiler 1 is an Hungarian television channel owned and operated by the TV2 Media Group. The channel was launched on August 13, 2016 under the name Spiler TV, but it would be rebranded to Spiler 1 TV on March 1, 2018.
According to its parent company, Spiler 1 has been categorized as a male-oriented channel due to its sports content and considering some of its additional programs. The content of the channel has been aired mostly in Hungarian language, although some international shows may be aired in their original language with subtitles.
Over the years, Spiler 1 has aired a large variety of disciplines, with football, motorsports, ice hockey, handball, and extreme sports. While most of the content aired by the channel has been related to international competitions, there have been some domestic tournaments aired by the channel as time has gone by.
When it comes to football, Spiler 1 has covered leagues such as the Spanish Primera División, the English Premier League, or the German Bundesliga. Other tournaments available on this channel over the years have included the FA Cup. Added to that, international football featuring national teams and the UEFA Champions League have also been available on this channel.
Spiler 1 was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a brand-new HD feed saw the light when its rebranding took place in 2018. Both feeds may still be available in most regions of the country via most pay-tv carriers in Hungary.
