About V Sport Extra

V Sport Extra is a Swedish television channel owned and operated by the Nordic Entertainment Group. It was launched in 2016 as a High-Definition option to TV3 Sport, a sister channel that frequently airs content in Standard Definition. V Sport Extra is part of the V Sport network.

Over the years, V Sport Extra has been known as one of the most relevant sports channels in the country. Among the many disciplines it has covered, the channel has included football competitions, hockey, American football, basketball, golf, motorsports, and more. Since there are sports-specific channels in the V Sport network, V Sport Extra has been considered as an overflow channel to some of its sister channels, airing its content in High-Definition.

When it comes to football, V Sport Extra has been involved in covering club competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, the Dutch Eredivisie, the French Ligue 1, the Danish First Division, the German Bundesliga, the English Premier League, the Australian A-League, the Scottish Premier League, and the FA Women’s Super League, among other competitions.

	FIFA Women's World Cup (2023) Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group has acquired exclusive rights to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The Nordic multi-platform broadcaster will air every match on OTT streaming service Viaplay, while its free-to-air networks will telecast select games.
	UEFA Europa League (2021-2024) NENT Group has secured exclusive Europa League rights in Sweden, Norway and Finland in a three-year deal that will run from 2021 to 2024. All Europa League matches will be streamed live on Viaplay, with extensive studio programming. Games will be available on Viasat’s pay-television offerings across the region, whereas NENT Group’s Swedish, Danish and Norwegian linear TV channels will also broadcast select matches. More details The pan-Nordic media company is set to offer all the Europa League action with local-language commentary in all three countries.
	UEFA Nations League (2022-2027) NENT's networks will show all of Sweden’s matches in the UEFA Nations League in 2022, 2024 and 2026. The broadcaster will also air the country’s live games in the finals of the competition in 2023, 2025 and 2027. The extensive coverage was secured by Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group in a six-year deal that runs from 2022 till 2028. 	UEFA Euro Qualifying (2022-2028) Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group has acquired Swedish media rights to UEFA European Championship qualifying matches involving Sweden’s men’s national team in a six-year deal. The agreement with UEFA, which was made possible through the CAA Eleven agency, will see NENT covering live Sweden matches on their way to the UEFA Euro tournaments, from 2022 to 2028. All the action will be aired live on TV by NENT-owned Swedish pay-television network TV3 and streamed online through Viaplay.
	UEFA Europa Conference League (2021-2024) Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has acquired exclusive UEFA Europa Conference League media rights from 2021 to 2024 in Sweden, Norway and Finland. The TV operator will show all the matches live on its large collection of television channels in the region, consisting of Viasat and many other linear TV networks. More details All Europa Conference League matches will be streamed on the pan-Nordic OTT service Viaplay in high definition. Local-language commentary will be available on every platform in all three countries, and extensive studio programming will be released to present fresh perspectives on televised games.
	England - Premier League (2022-2028) Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has acquired multi-platform English Premier League rights in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, in a deal that runs from 2022 to 2028. Live EPL streaming will be available on Viaplay – the leading online video streaming service in the Nordic region. Live Premier League matches and full replays may also be aired on NENT’s pay-TV and free-TV channels.
