The Copa Colombia (English: Colombia Cup) is an annual football tournament in Colombia. It was founded in 1950 but was canceled in 1989 after it experienced numerous challenges in earlier years. In 2008, the tournament was re-established following an agreement between members of the Major Division of Colombian Professional Football (División Mayor del Fútbol Profesional Colombiano or DIMAYOR for short).

The Copa Colombia is contested among 36 clubs of DIMAYOR. It is played using the single-elimination format. 16 Categoría Primera B teams are initially paired in the first stage of the competition to fight for slots in the second stage. The eight that emerge from that round are then drawn into four ties to compete for spots in the third round.

The four Primera B teams who progress to the third stage are joined by 12 Categoría Primera A clubs who do not participate in an international competition in the season. The eight winners from the third round enter the round of 16. They are joined by the four clubs that are eligible to play in the Copa Libertadores as well as the four Copa Sudamericana qualifiers.

The round of 16 is followed by the quarter-final, semi-final, and final, respectively. The champions of the Copa Colombia automatically qualify for the next season’s Copa Libertadores.
