About D1 Féminine
The Division 1 Féminine, officially known as the Championnat de France de Football Féminin, is the semi-professional football league for association women's football clubs in France. It is the country's top division of the women's French football league system and the equivalent of the men's Ligue 1.
It was founded in 1974 and is contested by 12 teams. The league operates on a relegation and promotion system with the Division 2 Féminine.
