About NB1
The Nemzeti Bajnokság 1 (NB) is the highest level professional league football in Hungary. It was established in 1901 and is organized by the Hungarian Football Federation.
Twelve teams participate in the Nemzeti Bajnokság. The league operates on the promotion and relation system. At the end of the season, the top team enters the qualification round of the UEFA Champions League.
In contrast, the runner-up and the third place, together with the winner of the Hungarian Cup enter the UEFA Europa League qualification round.
