About I-League 2nd Division
The India I-League 2nd Division is the second-highest division overall in the Indian football after the I-League. It was founded in 2008 to replace the National Football League 2nd Division league which ran from 1997 to 2007.
The league runs on a relegation and promotion system with the I-League. It is contested by 18 teams.
