About Primus National Football League
The Rwanda Premier League, formerly known as the Primus National Football League, is the highest division of professional football in Rwanda. The league was formed in 1975 and is run by the Rwanda Football Federation.
The premiership is contested by 16 teams and operates on a relegation and promotion system with the Second Division. Clubs in the league are eligible to qualify for the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
