Following a spirited AFCON group stage recovery and entry into the knockout rounds, the Group C best XI by renowned football stats firm WhoScored.com is heavily populated by the Black Stars.

After an eventful Group Stage for Ghana at this year's Africa Cup of Nations, a quintet of Ghana's players have been featured in the Group C best XI by renowned statistics firm WhoScored.com. This is effectively almost half the players in the 4-4-2 lineup on WhoScored.com's Group C team.

After a 2-1 defeat against Senegal that occured in the most embarassing of circumstances, the Black Stars rallied, quietly dispatching of the likes of North African giants Algeria and South Africa on their way to the highly anticipated knockout stage of AFCON 2015. The five representatives of Ghana are Left full back Baba Abdul Rahman, midfielders Christian Atsu and Mubarak Wakaso and the attacking duo of Asamoah Gyan and Jordan Ayew.
