The Argentinian playmaker was presented to the home crowd before the game started. Ajaccio was just promoted to the French top flight this season

There were plenty of reasons for Paris Saint-Germain fans to leave the game between PSG and Gazelec Ajaccio at Parc des Princes with a smile on their face. They got to see Angel di Maria's presentation to the local crowd and their team won 2-0 to claim the lead of the league after only two games.

The defending champions were without Di Maria and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for this one. The former Red Devil took center stage when he was presented to the public before the game. It was a simple ceremony in which El Fideo walked to the middle of the field and waved in every direction possible, thanking the fans for their reception.

Laurent Blanc claimed that both players could possibly be ready for the game against Marseille. The Swedish striker is recovering from an injury and could be back shortly. The Argentinian midfielder is getting back into rhythm after switching teams and playing in the Copa America over the summer.

"He arrived late and was injured when he came, but he's been doing a good job in double sessions each day and has not felt problems in his thigh," Blanc said about Di Maria. ""Zlatan is following his recovery programme, he is still not 100 percent healed yet."

The first 25 minutes of the game itself was all that needs to be remembered from the 90-minute match. It was the time it took for PSG to score the only two goals of the game. Blaise Matuidi was the first one to score just 11 minutes into the game. Then Thiago Silva sealed the deal just ten minutes later and that was it.

Those two goals sent PSG to the top of the table with two wins in two games adding a total of six points. Blanc's team has the same amount of units as Caen and Reims but their goal differential is superior to the one from those two teams by only one goal.
