Jurgen Klopp may have touched down at Liverpool barely a week ago, but transfer rumors regarding the German coach and his likely targets for the upcoming January transfer window are already dominating the headlines.
Speculations of a reunion with Robert Lewandowski have been doing the rounds, though the former BVB boss has hinted that January signings is an unlikely outcome.
“Whether there is money to spend in January or not doesn’t interest me," said Klopp.
"We are only in October and I don’t even know how many games we’ve got until the transfer window opens and therefore we will have a look at the players at our disposal first.”
Nonetheless, rumors are heavily linking Klopp with one of his former striker, though not Lewandowski. Recent reports suggest that the Liverpool boss is eyeing a move for Gabonese striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
It was the 48-year-old tactician who initially recruited the speedy goalscorer from Saint-Etienne to the Signal Iduna Park, but Jurgen now looks to lure the forward to England.
Aubameyang is currently in the form of his life, scoring 10 goals in the 2015-16 Bundesliga season’s first 8 games, taking his goal tally for the German side to 56 goals in 107 appearances in all competitions, ranking in at just above a goal in every two matches.

However, Mundo Deportivo have added juicy information to the Aubameyang transfer rumors. According to the Spanish publication, La Liga giants Barcelona have now tossed their hat into the race for the 26-year-old.
The Blaugrana, who will have their transfer ban lifted come January, are reportedly interested in adding Aubameyang’s services to their rank, with the aim of injecting pace into their MSN-led attack.
Aubameyang, however, is under contract with BVB until 2020, meaning the Bundesliga giants are in no rush to do business over the player’s auctioning.
