Reports indicate that Louis Van Gaal met with the tall striker's agent last week, in order to facilitate the Swedish's arrival to Old Trafford

Louis Van Gaal is ready to incorporate another striker to solve Manchester United's problems up front, and his choice would be to sign the one and only Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

According to a number of sources, the Swedish striker would join the Red Devils next summer, once his contract with Paris Saint Germain expires. But in order to secure the player's signing with Manchester United, the club would be willing to pay Les Parisiens a whopping 57 million pounds to add "The Boss" to their lineup.

Ibrahimovic's future has been the subject of a number of rumors, including his return to AC Milan, a possible transfer to Chelsea, and even a move to Mexican football for a year prior to signing a contract with Miami FC, David Beckham's MLS franchise.

Since Louis Van Gaal joined Manchester United, the team has tried to find a suitable player that fills the coach's needs up front. Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao left the Red Devils after failing to impress LVG, while English captain Wayne Rooney has underperformed since the final months of last season.

Even the City of Manchester's Police Department has mocked Rooney's current form.

The 34-year old striker already became PSG's all-time leading scorer, and would be open signing a new deal with a top tier team before he signs an almost-certain contract with Beckham's franchise in the MLS. Nevertheless, Ligue 1 champions still want Zlatan to extend his contract with them, and sources indicate the team would not listen to any offers below the 71 million-pound mark.
