Spanish publication Sport claims that Manchester United have tabled a bid for Barcelona midfield maestro Sergio Busquets. The newspaper also adds that French giants Paris Saint-Germain have also tabled a huge offer for the 27-year-old Spaniard, who is considered one of the best midfielders in Europe.
Interestingly, Manchester City are also said to be interested in signing the Catalan star, something that puts Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu in a difficult position.
If the Barca boss agrees to sell Busquets, this could pave way for the arrival of Paul Pogba at the Nou Camp next season. The Juventus star has been severally linked with a move to the Spanish giants, but in order to afford him, Busquets could be sacrificed.

Earlier this year, there were reports from Spain suggesting that the La Liga defending champions were struggling to pay the salaries and bonuses of their famous attacking trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez. This explains why they could be tempted to offload Sergio Busquets in order to pave way for the arrival of Pogba, since it would be quite expensive having both superstars in their squad.
Busquets is said to be worth £115 million, a price tag that The Sky Blues could easily afford. With the confirmed arrival of Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium next season, he could be tempted to join the former Barca boss at the Etihad Stadium. Their cross-town rivals Man United are also said to be interested in the midfielder as Michael Carrick’s replacement, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
