The French manager was reportedly 'mad' because he didnt' see the point of taking a player on tour if he will not feature for the team next season.

Real Madrid's coach Zinedine Zidane has reportedly had a falling out with the team's president, Florentino Perez. The reason? Martin Odegaard's presence in the team's pre-season tour.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, the French tactician didn't want to include the Norwegian midfielder in the team's North American tour, since Odegaard is not expected to feature for Los Blancos in next season.

But despite the coach's desire to keep him training with Real Madrid's "B" squad, Florentino Pérez reminded Zidane that the player's contract includes a clause which forces Los Blancos to provide first team playing time to the Norwegian youngster.

Zidane coached Odegaard since his signing with the team in January 2015 up until he left Real Madrid B to take over for Rafa Benitez with the UEFA Champions League winners.

Apparently, Zidane did not want to include Odegaard in the roster since he believes Marcos Llorente and Marco Asensio have more merits to join the first team than the Norwegian, who frequently left Real Madrid B's training sessions to work out with Los Blancos' senior squad when Carlo Ancelotti and Rafa Benitez were in charge.

In fact, Carlo Ancelotti admitted that he didn't request Odegaard's signing when he coached Real Madrid, and even called his transfer "a PR stunt" performed by Perez. The Italian boss had Zidane as his first assistant during the 2013-2014 season, and is considered by many as Zizou's mentor.

Real Madrid's North American tour will kick off on July 28, when Los Blancos clash against PSG.
