The four groups for the 2017 African Cup of Nations have been revealed.

The 2017 edition of the African Cup of Nations is almost here with us but first things first, football fans across the globe can now have a glimpse of what to expect in Africa’s biggest football tournament that will be held in Gabon. In  a draw conducted earlier today, the 16 teams that qualified for the competition were split into four groups of four teams each. 

Speaking of the hosts, Gabon, they have been pooled together with Burkina FASO, Cameroon and Guinea Bissau in Group A. Algeria will have to battle it out with rivals Tunisia, Senegal and Zimbabwe in Group B.

In Group C, two-time African Cup of Nations champions Ivory Coast  have been pooled alongside DR Congo, Morocco and Togo. African powerhouse Ghana sit in Group D with Mali, Egypt and suprise participants Uganda.

The much-anticipated tournament kicks off from January 15, 2017 and end on February 05, the same year. All eyes will be on Uganda Cranes, who are making their first return to this competition since 1978.
