The English midfielder revealed he won't extend his contract with LA Galaxy this week, prompting rumors about the player's future and eventual retirement.

Hold on, football fans. Steven Gerrard may not be done playing the beautiful game!

The 36-year old midfielder, who revealed this week that he won't return to the MLS next season, was contacted by Inter Milan officers to offer him a six-month contract with the Neroazzurri. According to reports by The Independent, the Italian outfit first contacted Gerard back in October, when the player was yet to decide about his future.

Gerrard has shown interest in returning to Liverpool, while League One side MK Dons have offered him the chance to make his managerial debut. The legendary Englishman is set to make a decision in the following weeks, with Inter giving him a good chance of retire in a top-notch league.

The Independent's report suggest that Gerrard would be under contract with the Neroazzurri for the remainder of the 2016-2017 season, in order to help recently appointed manager Stefano Pioli to solve the club's problems in midfield.

While Gerrard makes up his mind, the club will battle AC Milan this weekend in one more edition of the Milan derby.
