All of a sudden, Leicester City's players remembered how they shocked the world last year and gave their fans quite a performance against one of this year's title contenders.
Following a convulse week which ended with Claudio Ranieri's dismissal as Leicester City's boss, Liverpool arrived to this game as massive favorites to beat the down-on-their-luck champions. Surprisingly enough, the Foxes ended their 2017 goal scoring drought with a couple of shots by Jamie Vardy and Danny Drinkwater finding the back of the net. Vardy would eventually go on to score a brace, while Phillippe Coutinho scored Liverpool's lonely goal to save a bit of pride and make the final score 3-1.
Despite their fine display, fans in social media trolled Vardy and his team-mates, as some have been pointed out as responsible for Ranieri's sacking. Here's what they had to say after what they saw as a treason to the man who led them to glory last season.
I think there is something a bit distasteful about this Leicester performance tonight. Ranieri must feel massively insulted and hurt.
