Real Madrid will travel to the United States this summer to face the best of the MLS in a friendly match.

The best of the Major League Soccer will face Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid in Chicago for what is famously known as the 2017 MLS All-Star Game. The match will be played on August 2 at Soldier Field starting from 8:00 pm CT. It will be televised live on FS1, UniMAS, TVA Sports and TSN. Confirming the fixture, Chicago Fire coach Veljko Paunovic said:

“It is an honor to represent Major League Soccer and to work with our League’s great players in a match against one of the top clubs in the word.

“I know how special it is to compete against Real Madrid and I think our players and fans will also enjoy the experience."

This will be the first time a Spanish La Liga team will appear in an MLS All-Star Game. In the previous editions of the competitions, the MLS All-Stars have played teams from Bundesliga, Premier League, Liga MX, Scottish Premier League, but none from La Liga. The match will also feature a series of concerts, community service projects, player appearances, and many other social activities.
