The German starlet broke his silence with a joke at the expense of his Man City team-mate.

The hottest topic on Monday was the exclusion of Leroy Sane from the 2018 World Cup. Despite his tremendous 2017/18 season, Joachim Low found no room for the young attacker.

This decision left many flabbergasted. The 22-year-old is one of the most in-form German players heading into the tournament in Russia, having been instrumental in Man City’s record-breaking season.

He was even named the PFA Young Player of the Year for his Premier League heroics, but the national team boss opted for Julian Brandt of Bayer Leverkusen. Several people expressed their disagreement with this decision, one being Kyle Walker.

The English defender, who is Sane’s team-mate at the Etihad Stadium, took to Instagram to share his thoughts. In one picture, Walker perfectly summed up his reaction to hearing Leroy’s axe.

The Mannschaft attacker, who had not spoken out up until that point, broke his silence by responding to the defender’s post. Sane, however, chose to troll his team-mate with his response on Instagram.

Commenting on Walker’s post, the German wrote: “Well, you’re lucky you don’t have to play against me, bro.” This could be a sign that the former Schalke ace has reacted positively to his World Cup omission.

As for the 2014 champion, they will soon begin their title defense. The tournament kicks off on June 14, with Low’s men beginning their campaign on the 17th against Mexico.
