Pep Guardiola had some good news for Citizens' fans prior to the crunch tie against the Premier League leaders.

The game between Manchester City and Liverpool, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, is expected to be one of the best in the ongoing Premier League season. For a big match such as this one, tans have to be keen on watching the best players taking part of it, and surely this will bring music to Man City's fanbase, as one of their finest footballers will be available to play this clash.

Speaking at the team's pre-match presser, coach Pep Guardiola offered a positive injury report on Kevin De Bruyne, who could very well be involved in the clash after being able to train with the entire squad ahead of this game.

"He trained today but tomorrow we need another check in the morning. He's much better," Guardiola said.

Added to this boost, Ilkay Gundögan could also return to the pitch for the EPL's third-placed team, which would give Guardiola more options in midfield.

De Bruyne has only been able to play seven games this season for Manchester City in all comps, but his involvement in this game could prove key to keep the team's EPL hopes alive, especially when they are hosting the league leaders.
