Manchester United fans have made a plea to the club to complete the signings of Ajax pair Hakim Ziyech and Matthias de Ligt. The duo have been phenomenal for the Dutch club this season and are reportedly on the market this summer.
Following Ajax's success in the Eredivisie, the club's sporting director Marc Overmars confirmed that Ziyech will depart this summer. The Moroccan attacker was instrumental in Ajax's phenomenal run in the UEFA Champions League and managed 21 goals and 24 assists in all competitions this season. As a result, a list of clubs in Europe are said to be keen on the signing of the 26-year-old who reportedly has a release clause of 25 million pounds.
Relatively, the winger's teammate and skipper Matthias de Ligt is set to complete a move away from the Amsterdam club. Barcelona is said to be leading the pack in the pursuit for the youngster's signature but a lot could change in the coming weeks with recent reports suggesting that the Catalans are unwilling to match the player's agent's astronomical commission fee.
A footage of De Ligt's delivering a speech during Ajax's Eredivisie title parade has made waves on social media and Manchester United fans believe the defender has the right personality to fit in at Old Trafford. According to English outlet Telegraph, the young center back is also 'keen on becoming the face of Manchester United rebuild'.
As a result, a move could still be on the cards and fans have asked Solskjaer to break his transfer policy of signing young English talent and go after De Ligt and Ziyech.
De Ligt is so perfect for United - age, quality, position, leadership - but he deserves better. Scarily good for a 19-year-old https://t.co/carmY6uqhc

Only 19-years-old and already such a natural leader. pic.twitter.com/C2lTJitkCG
Are @ManUtd going to let De Ligt go to Barcelona? Get the cheque book out. £100m is a bargain for a player that good at 19.
