The CONCACAF Gold Cup may not have been as impressive as some fans would have hoped for, but the title match made ammends with an tight and exciting clash.
The USMNT came close to score the opening goal, but neither Jozy Altidore nor Christian Pulisic were able to send the ball to the back of the net. An MLS star, Jonathan Dos Santos, was the man who hit gold with his left-footed shot when the game approached its conclusion.
Dos Santos' prowess in midfield was crucial to hold Micharl Bradley and Pulisic, and he capped an impressive performance with his title-winning goal. Have a look at the goal that gave Mexico their eighth Gold Cup title (Image might be geo-restricted).
A beautiful finish from Jonathan Dos Santos and an equally great set-up from Raul Jimenez. A deserved go-ahead goal for #ElTri
