Four teams from each of these North American leagues are set to lock horns in the first-ever edition of this tournament.

The first Leagues Cup in history promises to be one of the most interesting tournaments set to take place this summer, and now, all teams involved know what the future holds in store for them once they play their first game.

A couple of announcements were made earlier today by MLS and Liga MX officers, who shared details on how the competition will be played, starting July 23. 

Don Garber (MLS) and Enrique Bonilla (Liga MX) shared details about the competition which will kick off with the showdown between the LA Galaxy and Tijuana, followed by the matchup where Chicago Fire and Cruz Azul will lock horns.

On July 24, América will travel to BBVA Compass Stadium to face Houston Dynamo, and on that same day, current Liga MX champions Tigres will face Real Salt Lake.

Garber and Bonilla also revealed today that the tournament's final will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 18.
