The Spanish top flight began with a fair share of surprises, which included Bale's starting spot at Real Madrid and an untimely injury for Luis Suárez

The 2019-20 La Liga season is already underway, and there are already some talking points for fans to discuss after the first ten games of the campaign.

For starters, the defending champions didn't look the part on Friday's opener. Los Culés ended a ten-year streak without a loss in their opening game of the season, which makes most fans wonder what will this team do when Lionel Messi is no longer around. To make matters worse, Luis Suárez will be out for at least two weeks, and with Coutinho leaving the club on loan, coach Valverde may be thinking that bringing Neymar in is not a bad idea after all.

Even if they did not have the best start, there is still hope among Barcelona's loyals despite their loss on Friday.

Saturday's games began with a shocking revelation coming from within Real Madrid's locker room: Gareth Bale was being included in the team's lineup against Celta. The Welshman did not look out of tune, and he managed to put in a good shift. He even assisted Karim Benzema for the team's first goal of the season, which means that he's either scored or assisted in the first game of all seasons Zinedine Zidane has been in charge of coaching Los Blancos.

Even so, there was something that Zizou wanted desperately to end, and the team's performance at Balaidos ended a winless streak for the Frenchman in his second era with the Spanish giants.

Unfortunately for Real Madrid, it was not all good news for all of their players. Luka Modric will have a bad memory of this season's opening game for his red card, especially since the ref needed to check VAR to make tha ruling.

Sunday's game left fans wanting more from Joao Felix. The Portuguese wonder dazzled Getafe's defenders after an impressive run, which concluded in a penalty for Los Colchoneros. A 100% pass accuracy speaks for himself!
