The German boss admitted that the team needs the most expensive player in the world due to the injury plague that has hit the squad.

He may have pushed for an exit away from Parc des Princes, but Neymar is still a valuable asset for PSG, and his coach is not willing to see him waste his talent on the bench.

Speaking at the team's pre-match presser, coach Thomas Tuchel admitted that having the most expensive player in the world around will come in handy during this weekend, where Les Parisiens are set to face Strasbourg.

"We are missing some strikers like Edi (Cavani) and Kylian (Mbappé). We need Neymar back. He has been training well and he is ready to play," Tuchel said.

Tuchel went on to discuss how he intends to make Neymar part of the team again, especially with everything that made headlines during the summer in regards to his failed attempt to return to Barcelona.

"Now we know what kind of squad we have. We have a team that's full of experience, talent and strength. Ney is part of that group and his transfer will no longer be a matter of distraction. He will also have a chance to focus solely on this team

The coach also referred to those who criticized Neymar during the summer, especially to those fans who displayed banners at PSG's first game insulting the Brazilian. According to Tuchel, Neymar will be able to win their hearts all over again.

"I don't think life will by too tough for Neymar, playing in Paris is not so bad. I'm not going to talk about all that has been said. I just want to look forward. I believe Neymar will have a smile back on his face soon. Then, we'll see," the coach concluded.
