Sergio Aguero and Jurgen Klopp have been revealed as the recipients of the January Premier League prizes, being named as the Player and Manager of the Month, respectively.
Both men made Premier League history along the way, with the Argentine striker becoming the player with the most number of Player of the Month wins in the history of the competition. This was the 31-year-old’s seventh time receiving this award since arriving in Manchester.
Previously, the Citizens icon was tied with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and Tottenham superstar Harry Kane at six but is now the all-time leader on this list. Kun was named January’s Player of the Month after scoring six goals and assisting three in three games last month.

Since the season began, all one other manager has claimed this prize and that was Frank Lampard back in October. Klopp’s dominance comes as little surprise given his Liverpool side are yet to lose a single game, drawing once and winning all their other top-flight matches in 2019/20.
