The deal will also provide additional and in-depth coverage of one of the most popular teams in Mexico to its huge fanbase in the United States.

Perhaps the most Mexican team of all will finally have a suitable "home" in the United States, as Chivas del Guadalajara has finally agreed to a massive TV deal with Telemundo.

The TV company will not only broadcast all home games for El Rebaño Sagrado, as the deal has also included the women's team and all of Chivas' youth teams.

Ray Warren, president of Telemundo Deportes, spoke about the multi-year agreement.

"We are thrilled to become the new home of Chivas de Guadalajara in the U.S. As one of Mexico's most historic, popular and successful teams, the acquisition of these rights aligns perfectly with NBCUniversal and Telemundo Deportes' approach to partner with owners of the biggest and best properties in sports. We look forward to working with the entire Chivas de Guadalajara organization to take its brand to unprecedented heights and scale," the president stated.

Telemundo's coverage of Chivas' games will have two former footballer analyzing the team's performances, as Manuel Sol and Carlos Hermosillo will provide in-game analysis of all games played by the red and white side. Sol and Hermosillo had prosperous careers playing in the Mexican top flight, and the latter is also known as the most prolific Mexican striker in Liga MX history, only behind Brazilian legend Evanivaldo Castro "Cabinho".

Chivas' CEO Amaury Vergara also shared his views on the ground-breaking deal.

"We are excited to have reached this partnership and are confident that together with Telemundo Deportes we can bring a piece of Mexico and all the excitement of the Rebaño Sagrado to our Chivahermanos in the United States. It's extremely important to us to serve as the cornerstone in the return of Mexican soccer to Telemundo, making us all stronger,"Vergara added.

Chivas' first home game of the upcoming Guard1anes tournament will take place on July 25, when Luis Fernando Tena's men host León.
