The Belgian playmaker pulled the Citizens back into the game with an expected strike.

Kevin De Bruyne entered the record books as the first Manchester City to score a goal in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League for Manchester City. The 29-year-old playmaker, in a rather bizarre manner, scored his side's equalizer in Wednesday night's first leg clash with Paris Saint-Germain after seeing his side go behind in the first half.

The host's captain Marquinhos dealt the visitors an early blow to put Les Parisians in front after rising the highest to head home Angel di Maria's corner in the 14th minute. They subsequently took the lead into the half-time break and even had more opportunities to double their advantage but failed to utilize any.

Nineteen minutes after play resumed for the second half, De Bruyne came to the rescue for the Citizens. His cross intend for his teammates in the PSG penalty area eluded everybody and managed to beat Keylor Navas at the far post after the the former Madrid shot-stopper misjudged its direction. Watch:

With the goal, De Bruyne becomes the first Manchester City player to score in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League competition. The Belgian has so far scored three goals against PSG in three knockout games, scoring twice in the quarter-final clash between the pair in 2016.
