The Belgian superstar won all three points for his side in their tough trip to the King Power Stadium, netting an unstoppable free-kick goal.

Manchester City kicked off Matchweek 14 in the Premier League, traveling to Leicester for Saturday's early fixture.

The Cityzens entered this clash on the back of their goalless draw away to Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League and were looking to return to winning ways. However, the English giants were rocked by a huge blow as Erling Haaland missed out on this tie due to injury.

And in the first half at the King Power Stadium, it became obvious that the visitors would struggle to break down Brendan Rodgers' side. The Foxes defended extremely deep and without a recognized no.9 leading the line, Pep's side found little to no breakthrough.

However, when your squad is blessed with world-class players, Manchester City can still win games despite struggling as they only ever need one moment of magic from their star men.

And this is exactly what Kevin de Bruyne did shortly after the break.

Four minutes after the second half resumed, the visitors won a free-kick not too far from Leicester's penalty box. The aforementioned Belgian superstar stepped up to take the set piece and unleashed an unstoppable shot that ricocheted off the right post into the net. The Foxes did eventually grow into the game and probably could have come away from this fixture with a point. However, Guardiola's men saw out the remainder and maintained the clean sheet, winning 1-0.

This victory takes the defending champions to 29 points and have currently leapfrogged Arsenal in the table. However, the Gunners could reclaim the top spot on Sunday when they host Nottingham Forest should they beat the relegation-battling side.
