Spurs head to the iconic Stade Vélodrome on Tuesday needing to avoid defeat in order to make the round of 16. However, the North London giants could be without three key players.

Tottenham are gearing up for UEFA Champions League action this midweek as the North London giants are set to wrap up their group-stage campaign.

Unfortunately, everything is on the line for Spurs. Antonio Conte's men enter the final Matchday knowing that while a win or a draw will secure their ticket to the round of 16, defeat will send them crashing out of the competition.

And to make things worse, their final game of the group stage is an away clash against Marseille at the iconic–and hostile–Stade Vélodrome. Additionally, after being sent off in the dramatic 1-1 home draw against Sporting CP last week, the Premier League giants will be without head coach Antonio Conte in the dugout.

And if that wasn't enough, the North London side could be without three key players when they travel to France. Two of those absentees are obvious: Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison. This comes as no surprise as both men have been sidelined for some time, missing out on even last week's European stalemate.

The aforementioned Swedish ace suffered a hamstring injury during the last international break and is yet to feature for Tottenham since, while the newly-signed Brazilian forward has been out since picking up a knock during his side's 2-0 victory over Everton.

Unfortunately, a new concern has arrived and this time it is highly-rated center-back Cristian Romero. The Argentine, alongside the aforementioned attacking duo, was absent from the club's open training session in the build-up to Tuesday's showdown, sparking fears among the fan base.

It remains uncertain whether this is a precaution or whether the former Atalanta ace could miss out on the upcoming UEFA Champions League fixture. Due to the importance of this game, Conte will want his center-back fit and ready to go.

Similar concerns emerged regarding last week's draw with Sporting CP but despite that, Romero managed to start that game and complete the 90 minutes. If the South American is ruled out, one of Davinson Sanchez and Clement Lenglet will deputize.
