Last week's battle for the ratings gave us one of the most anticipated games in the season, and in terms of audience, the popularity of that league has once again been proven, as the Portland Thorns and the Kansas City became part of the most watched football game in the 2022-23 term, surpassing every men's match that has been watched in the United States.
The game for the top spot in the NWSL defeated two of the most popular leagues in the country: the English Premier League and Liga MX. Curiously, both of these leagues claimed the remaining spots in the podium and even if the Premier League clash that made it to second had almost no emotions, Liga MX's representation kept fans watching to see who was crowned as Apertura 2022 champions.
