Ronaldo considering huge offer from Saudi club

TRANSFER TALK: Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly 'considering' mega money offer from Saudi club

November 30, 2022 By Michelle Bonsu
The Portuguese superstar has been offered a massive two year contract by a Saudi club hoping to secure his signature this year.

Although all eyes are on the current happenings at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, that has not prevented the transfer rumor mill from kicking into action.

With players hoping to make their marks, many clubs are closely following several options to see how they can bolster their oufits once the transfer window opens in January.

Not surprisingly, one player that has been the subject of transfer rumors is Cristiano Ronaldo. The 37-year-old is now a free agent after his time at Manchester United came to an acrimonious end earlier this month, and there are reportedly several clubs keen on signing the Portuguese superstar.

Ronaldo, who became the first player to score at five consecutive World Cups when he converted from the spot during Portugal's 3-2 win over Ghana on matchday one, is still mulling his options, but there's one club eager to jump to the front of the queue with a massive offer.

According to reports from Spain, namely the media outfit Marca, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been offered a staggering two year deal by Saudi side Al-Nassr worth over $414 million (€400 million).

That would see him make over $200 million per year from 2023 to 2025, when he will be 40 years old.

It remains to be seen whether Al-Nassr will be successful in bringing in Cristiano next year, but for now, he will be firmly focused on ensuring that Portugal wrap up a very successful group stage campaign as they prepare to face South Korea on Friday. Portugal have already secured progression to the round of 16, and will aim to finish top of Group H to get a more favorable pick in the first knockout rounds.
