The English side has put to good use the clauses that will keep the homegrown footballer and three other players around beyond this summer.

If European teams wanted to steal Marcus Rashford away from Manchester United, they will have to splash the cash for his services from now on.

Teams such as PSG and even Barcelona had started to plot their respective plan to lure Rashford to their clubs, but the English side always had an ace in the hole and managed to put it to good use before it was too late.

Rashford's contract at Old Trafford ended with this season, but the club has already executed a clause in his contract that extended his stay with the Red Devils for one more year. Not only that, but the team also included three more players on that list: Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, and Fred.

In fact, both Rashford and Dalot have been offered to stay at Old Trafford further beyond the 2023-24 campaign, meaning that the club would be keen on keeping them around for more time.

Other players are still negotiating their contract extensions with the club, such as David De Gea. Nevertheless, the player's future could still be in jeopardy as the Red Devils are still considering other options to fill in as their next shot-stopper.
