Voices around the world have been complaining about Emiliano Martínez's lack of class during Argentina's celebrations, and the latest one comes from a WC winner himself..

Once again, a former World Cup winner has come out to show his disagreement with how some of Argentina's players have celebrated their win in Qatar 2022, but this time, there were some harsh words used by the man in question.

Patrick Vieira, Crystal Palace's boss, did not hold back when discussing how Emiliano Martínez celebrated the World Cup win as soon as he got his hands on the Golden Glove award. According to Vieira, some of the taunts by the goalkeeper have tarnished Argentina's well-deserved title and even his reputation on the pitch, especially those that were aimed at Kylian Mbappé.

"When you are talking about the abuse and the comments that Mbappé received after the World Cup, I think that is damaging the game and himself. Some of the pictures that I saw from the Argentina goalkeeper took away a little bit from what Argentina achieved at the World Cup," Vieira said in a press conference.

Then, the 1998 World Cup winner with Les Bleus added that "Dibu" should really think things twice before making statements that make him look bad.

"I don't think that they really needed that. You can't control sometimes people's emotions or decisions, but that was a stupid decision from Martinez to do that," Vieira added.

The coach also had some words aimed at Argentine fans, who abused some of the players right after the end of the match. When talking about them, Vieira urged them to keep in mind the great behavior they had while in Qatar that even made people from other countries happy about their win.

"I was really disappointed because I heard the same songs as you. I want to have a picture of the Argentina fans with the passion and the love they showed during those games. Of course, they won the World Cup, but in the stands, they were the best as well. I want to keep that in my mind and not think about those stupid fans who put some darkness on top of what Argentina achieved on and off the field," Vieira concluded.
