Fans will have plenty of football to keep them entertained over the next week, with ESPN hosting numerous matches on its various platforms.

With the 2022 FIFA World Cup now done and dusted, club football is back in full swing. This weekend alone will see the return of the FA Cup, as well as La Liga action, while the ensuing week will feature the likes of the Spanish Super Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Fans in the USA can stay on top of all the action thanks to ESPN, which will be showcasing the various competitions across its various platforms. Here's all you need to know.

FA Cup

All 32 of the FA Cup's third round matches will be shown on ESPN+, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Arsenal all involved. The FA Cup third round begins on Friday, with Manchester United facing Everton at 3 pm EST, and really heats up over the weekend, with some of the highlight games including:

Saturday, January 7th (all matches on ESPN+)

  • Tottenham Hotspur vs. Portsmouth at 7:30 am EST
  • Sheffield Wednesday vs. Newcastle United at 1 pm EST
  • Liverpool vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers at at 3 pm EST

Spanish Super Cup

Last but certainly not least, the Spanish Super Cup gets underway next week. With both Barcelona and Real Madrid in the semi-finals, many fans are hoping to see the two sides lock horns in the final, but each team will need to get past Real Betis (for Barcelona) and Valencia (for Real Madrid).
