The new attempt to hire Kane has been fueled by Tottenham's inability to extend the player's deal beyond the 2023-24 season.

Manchester United's intentions to sign Harry Kane might actually work this time, as the Red Devils are reportedly planning to bid one more time for the man who is set to become Tottenham Hotspur's all-time top scorer.

The interest from the Red Devils has always been there, but they had never been too close to convincing chairman Daniel Levy of letting Spurs' ace leave the club. Now, with the player's deal with Tottenham set to expire in 2024, the white and blue side might be forced to sell their star footballer, and that's where the Red Devils would come in.

Back in the summer of 2022, Daniel Levy turned down an offer from Manchester City that would have seen Spurs earning over $150M for the player's services. Now, with only 12 months left in his contract, sources close to the Lilywhites claim that Levy would be open to part ways with Kane if Manchester United -or Bayern München, who have also been named as a possible landing spot for the Englishman- come up with $85M.

Kane's goal haul has been impressive for Tottenham ever since he became a first-team player. He has not failed to become the team's top scorer since 2014, and his contribution to the team has seen him score 265 goals for Spurs, one less than those scored by Jimmy Greaves, the all-time top scorer for Tottenham.

Manchester United are currently third in the Premier League's title race, three points behind Manchester City and eight behind Arsenal. If the tournament ended today, Tottenham would finish fifth, which would certainly be another reason for Kane to think about leaving the club.
