The Gunners currently are on top of the table, and could make history should they beat relegation candidates Everton on Saturday.

On Saturday, Arsenal will take on relegation candidates Everton, with an opportunity to temporarily move eight points clear of reigning champs Manchester City.

Although the Gunners have struggled in recent meetings with the Toffees, with just one win from their last four ties against their upcoming opponents, the overall consensus is that Mikel Arteta's side should be able to get the job done at Goodison Park ahead of Manchester City's mouth-watering clash against Tottenham on Sunday.

So far, Arsenal have won 99 of their last 202 games against Everton, while drawing 43 and losing 60. If they can win on Saturday, they will reach a century of wins, making them the first Premier League side to beat the same opponent 100 times or more.

On paper, it seems like an easy task, especially consdiering that Everton are winless in their last eight games, but certainly, the visiting side will not be approaching this game too over-confident as anything is possible in football.
