Less than a month after facing off in the Supercoppa Italiana, Inter and Milan will again renew acquaintances in another Derby della Madonnina clash on Sunday, February 5th,

Inter will be looking to add more to AC Milan's woes when the two sides meet for the latest installment of the Derby della Madonnina on Sunday. At the moment, the Nerazzurri sit in second place, 13 points behind runaway league leaders Napoli, but will be encouraged by some of their recent results, which includes coming from behind to avoid an embarrassing loss to relegation candidates Cremonese as well as seeing off a very stubborn Atalanta side in the Coppa Italia to progress to the semi-finals.

In addition, Inter notably beat Milan quite comfortably in their last meeting, which was during the Supercoppa Italiana less than a month ago. Overall, Simone Inzaghi's side have won all but three of their last 12 Serie A games, which includes being the only side to beat Napoli this season. However, despite Milan's struggles, the Rossoneri have won their last two meetings with Inter and are hoping to win two in the same season for the first time since the 2010/11 campaign, when they won the Scudetto under Massimiliano Allegri's tenure.

Things have gone horribly wrong for the Rossoneri as of late, to say the least. Stefano Pioli's side have won just one of their last five Serie A games, and are on a four game winless streak in the league. That includes a humiliating 5-2 defeat to a Sassuolo side who have been flirting with the relegation zone at various points this season, and prior to that, they were crushed 4-0 by Lazio.

January was a dismal month for the Diavolo, which saw their defense concede a whopping 18 goals, which is the most they've conceded in one month in the club's entire history. As such, despite their wins in their last two Serie A derby meetings with Inter, they will very likely not be feeling confident ahead of Sunday's match.

Team news: Inter vs AC Milan

Inter: The Nerazzurri have pretty much a full strength squad, with Marcelo Brozovic returning from injury, while both Nicolo Barella and Stefan de Vrij are back from suspension.

Milan: By contrast, Milan are still missing some people, with Mike Maignan still out with a calf injury, while Fikayo Tomori and Ismael Bennacer are still overcoming hip and thigh injuries respectively. Veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to light training recently, but this match comes too soon for the 41-year-old to get involved.
