The Ligue 1 leaders have been left with much to ponder after Neymar picked up another bad injury on Sunday.

Neymar Jr has handed Paris Saint-Germain a big scare after exiting Saunday afternoon's clash with Lille with looks like a bad injury. The Brazilian superstar was stretchered off in tears and could not last the full duration of regulation time in his side's 4-3 victory at Parc des Princes.

In an afternoon where the supremacy and genius of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe eventually stole the limelight, Neymar could not stick around long enough to share in the glory of his teammates. The Brazilian, however, paid his due, scoring Les Parisians' second goal of the afternoon after Mbappe had set the ball rolling with the opener.

Having already lost left-back Nuno Mendes to injury, PSG were forced to substitute Neymar before the game took a dramatic turn. The former Barcelona forward was replaced by Hugo Ekitike in the 51st minute after seeming rolling his ankle. However, in his absence, the hosts were able to fight-back from a 3-2 scoreline to earn the maximum points thanks to a Lionel Messi winner.

While the extent of Neymar's injury currently remains unknown, things are not looking good for PSG ahead of the crucial Champions League Round of 16 second leg trip to Bayern Munich. Despite the recent criticisms, the 31-year-old has crucial for the French club this season, scoring 18 goals in 29 appearances - 13 of which have come in the Ligue 1.

With PSG having a goal deficit to overturn against Bayern Munich, the absence of the a attacker could potentially be costly in their charge to win the Champions League this season. The clash between the two clubs is scheduled for March 8 and it remains to be seen if the Brazilian superstar will recover in time for the trip to Germany.
