The Rossoneri are reportedly keen on a massive overhaul this summer as they aim to make themselves more competitive in the upcoming transfer market.

This season has seen AC Milan face its fair share of ups and downs. The Rossoneri, who won the Scudetto last season for the first time in a decade, are looking highly unlikely to successfully defend their title with Napoli continuing to build a steady march on the chasing pack thanks to their impressive campaign thus far. In addition, Stefano Pioli's side are out of the Coppa Italia after a shock loss to Torino, while they were easily beaten 3-0 by Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana.

However, Milan, who currently sit in fourth spot, have one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals after recording a narrow 1-0 win over Tottenham in the round of 16. While they will certainly have their work cut out for them as they prepare to face Antonio Conte's men in the return leg next month, it was still an encouraging showing for a team who have not featured in the Champions League for quite some time.

Milan's leaders are already looking ahead to the summer, as they hope to secure Champions League football for next term. That means they will have to offload quite a few players to free up some funds in order to be able to make a statement in this summer's transfer market.

According to reports from Italy, namely the Gazzetta dello Sport, several names are on the chopping block. This includes Sergino Dest, who was signed on loan from Barcelona, but the Rossoneri have not been totally convinced by the American's performances and are not keen on paying an estimated $21.2 million (€20 million) to sign him permanently from the Blaugrana.

Despite being a fan favorite, veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahmovic could also be out of contract at the end of this season. The 41-year-old will turn 42 later this year and has spent most of the current campaign out injured as he recovered from a knee injury and resulting surgery.

Meanwhile, Ante Rebic has failed to hit certain metrics and looks set to be shipped out as the Croatian international has netted just three times all seasons. Others who have been linked with moves away from the Stadio San Siro, whether it be via a sale or letting their contracts expire include Fode Ballo-Toure, Ciprian Tatarusanu, and Yacine Adli.
