One more year has come and another Major League Soccer season is upon us. The North American league will increase its availability around the globe with the new MLS Season Pass, and fans across the globe will be able to follow this competition wherever they are in many different ways.
The first weekend of action in the league will have quite a few talking points, starting with the addition of an expansion team making its debut this Saturday.
How to watch the Opening weekend in the 2023 MLS season?
Fans in the U.S. and Canada will be able to watch select games on regular TV networks. The first one of those will be Nashville FC vs New York City, the league's opening match for the 2023 campaign. Two more matches will be available to watch live on TV, this time for Canadian fans, who will be treated with two matches to be aired in that country: D.C. United vs Toronto and Inter Miami vs FC Montreal. The rest of the matches will be available to be streamed in over 100 countries via MLS Season Pass.

St. Louis City SC ready to make their debut
The 29th team in the league will start their run in the competition with their maiden match being held at Austin FC's Q2 Stadium. The team from Missouri will enter the league with some players to keep an eye on, including former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Bürki, who has been handed the captain's armband prior to this match.
El Tráfico suspended due to inclement weather
What was supposed to be the match that would put an end to a massive Saturday will have to wait, as the league announced that the game between defending champions LAFC and Los Angeles Galaxy will have to be played on a different date due to complicated weather conditions in Los Angeles.
This can only be bad news for LA-based fans, as the clash was highly-anticipated due to the fierce rivalry between them. Nevertheless, the decision by the league will give Galaxy striker Chicharito a chance to recover from a hamstring injury which had ruled him out of the match.
Kei Kamara traded to Chicago Fire
The 38-year-old Kei Kamara will join the Fire after asking for a trade before the start of the season. The veteran striker will add depth to a desperate team that has only made one playoff appearance in the last nine seasons.
The Fire will become Kamara's eleventh MLS team, following his spells with Columbus Crew, SJ Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo, Sporting KC, New England Revolution, Vancouver Whitecaps, Colorado Rapids, Minnesota United, and CF Montreal.
