The Brazilian star has had his fair share of injury woes lately, and now will miss one of PSG's biggest games this season.

It has not been an easy season for Neymar, who is looking increasingly likely to be playing his club football away from the Parc des Princes next season.

From reports of squabbles with teammates (namely Kylian Mbappe) to injury woes, the 31-year-old has cut a very frustrated figure for Les Parisiens as of late. And now, his latest injury to his ankle has him set to miss out on a very crucial match for Christophe Galtier's side.

PSG currently need to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Bayern Munich in order to avoid being dumped out at the round of 16 stage of this year's Champions League. Bayern are the side who ruined their chances at winning a first Champions League trophy back in 2020, when ironically, it was Kinglsey Coman, a former PSG player, who scored the solitary goal to help the Bavarian titans win their first trophy in that competition since 2013.

But back to Neymar - the former Barcelona man sustained his injury during a match against Lille, and judging by his reaction, it led fans to believe that it was way more serious that initially thought. However, judging by how Galtier's side have performed since Neymar's injury on February 19th, with Mbappe and Lionel Messi combining to score all three goals in their Classique win over Marseille this past weekend, it seems that the French giants should be able to recover from this big blow to try to ensure that Bayern don't ruin their Champions League ambitions once again.
