The French superstar hit the target in the win over Nantes on Saturday to make history.

Kylian Mbappe achieved another momentous milestone in Paris Saint-Germain's history by becoming the club's all-time top scorer on Saturday. The 24-year-old French forward hit 201st goal in their 4-2 victory over Nantes in a Ligue 1 encounter, surpassing Edinson Cavani's goal tally by goal as a result.

Mbappe's feat came a week after he equalled the previous record of 200 goals held by Cavani, scoring a brace in PSG's 3-0 win over Olympique Marseille in Le Classique. On Saturday, the opportunity for the Ligue 1 heavyweights to extend their lead atop the table presented itself once more when they hosted Nantes at Parc des Princes. It seemed like an easy exercise for Christopher Galtier's charges who scored twice in the first 17 minutes.

However, they were pegged back before the half-time break, with the visitors initiating a pulsating affair by scoring two quickfire goals. Ultimately, any hope of a potential upset was thrown out when Danilo's fine header in the second half put the champions back in front, and this is how things remained until the 92nd minute.

Kylian Mbappe subsequently emerged to put the exclamation mark on the night's performance to steal the headlines in remarkable fashion. In the second minute of injury time, the forward found himself in the Nantes penalty box, swivelled around a defender and drove a pinpoint finish into the far bottom corner for his record-breaking goal.
