Huge blow for Juve: Pogba suffers another injury

Things go from bad to worse for Paul Pogba as Juventus star suffers another injury

March 13, 2023 By Ali M.
The French star, who only made his second debut for the Old Lady in late February due to injury, sadly finds himself back on the treatment table.

Paul Pogba's nightmare season at Juventus has suffered another twist as the French star has sadly returned to the treatment table due to an injury.

The 2018 World Cup winner returned to the Italian giants over the summer after leaving Manchester United as a free agent but was forced to wait until late February to make his second debut for the Old Lady, whom he first represented between 2012 and 2016.

The 29-year-old suffered an unfortunate knee injury only two weeks into his Juventus return, with the player later undergoing surgery that ruled him out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The former Old Trafford ace made his triumphant return on February 28 in the 4-2 win over Torino, coming off the bench and receiving a warm welcome. He later made a 12-minute cameo in the 1-0 defeat at Roma before being dropped from the UEFA Europa League squad that faced Freiburg on Thursday due to a disciplinary breach, having reported late for a team meeting.

Fast forward to the present and Pogba is now dealing with a "low-grade injury to the adductor of his right thigh". Speaking after the club's 4-2 win over Sampdoria, manager Massimiliano Allegri revealed that this occurred while the player was practicing free-kicks.

According to Sky Italia (as per the Daily), this injury isn't anything serious. Nonetheless, Pogba could be out for a month, which means the Bianconeri will be without his services until after the international break.

The Frenchman will thus watch the 2nd leg UEFA Europa League round of 16 clash with Freiburg and the Serie A trip to Inter Milan from the stands. Additionally, his availability for Juventus' Coppa Italia semifinal showdown with the Nerazzurri in early April will come under question.
