Arsenal, who currently top the table, boast a five-point advantage over second-placed Manchester City, but due to their fixtures list and experience, many predict the Cityzens to mount a late surge to usurp the Gunners.

But with Pep Guardiola's men scheduled for FA Cup action this weekend, the North London giants have the golden opportunity to go eight points clear at the top should they beat Crystal Palace in the league this Sunday.

Given this intriguing title race, one brave journalist decided to pose this question — who will win the Premier League? — to the greatest manager in English top-flight history: Sir Alex Ferguson. The iconic Scottish manager caught up with ITV while at the Cheltenham Festival and was asked for his thoughts on the current season.

However, the question was phrased in a bold way. With Manchester United sitting 16 points behind the Gunners, the ongoing title battle is seen as a two-horse race. As a result, the former Old Trafford boss was asked whether he would prefer to see Arsenal or Manchester City lift the league crown.

Sir Alex Ferguson's answer was both brutal and hilarious as the 81-year-old responded with two simple words: "Not interested". Check it out in the clip below (video is geo-restricted).

Ferguson's response isn't too surprising. Arsenal were one of Manchester United's biggest rivals in the late '90s and early 2000s, with the Scotsman clashing with Arsene Wenger several times. Additionally, Manchester City are the Red Devils' most-hated neighbor and as a result, there is no love lost there as well.

Hence, Sir Alex was placed in a dilemma and thus opted to ignore the question altogether. However, while Erik ten Hag's men no longer appear to be in contention for the Premier League, the English giants have already won silverware this term.
