Two teams who have been in solid form domestically will square off in the Eternal City as Lazio host Juventus on Saturday, April 8th.

Currently second in the table after an impressive uptick in form, Lazio will look to continue their push towards securing Champions League football when they welcome Juventus on Saturday to the Stadio Olimpico. It's set to be an interesting reunion for Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri who coached the Bianconeri during the 2019/2020 season before taking on his current appointment.

While Lazio suffered disappointment as they were beaten by Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, the Aquile have been soaring in Serie A. So far, they have conceded just 19 goals - making their defense the strongest in the league - and come into this contest having lost just one of their last 12 league games. Having lost 3-0 to Juventus in the reverse fixture, Lazio will be obviously keen on avoiding a repeat, as that just so happens to be one of only two games in which the Aquile conceded three goals (the other being a shock 3-1 loss to Salernitana).

Juventus, for their part have seen an uptick in form lately, with eight wins in their last 10 matches across all comps. The Bianconeri still have quite some ways to go to make up for their 15 point deduction as they hope to chase down a top four spot, but they could certainly make some major inroads in terms of narrowing the gap should they complete a double over Lazio on Saturday.

Massimiliano Allegri's side are still involved in two other competitions - the Coppa Italia as well as the Europa League - so naturally proper squad management will be for this tie as they will be missing several players through injury as well as suspension.

Team news: Lazio vs Juventus

Lazio: The hosts are expected to have skipper and star striker Ciro Immobile back for this game, which will naturally be a huge boost for Sarri. Meanwhile, defender Adam Marusic will be back in action after completing his suspension.

Juventus: Although Paul Pogba and Leonardo Bonucci returned to training earlier this week, the duo are not expected to start this match. Meanwhile, Moise Kean is suspended once again, while Federico Chiesa's on-going injury struggles haven't abated.
