The Italian boss makes it to this game with revamped confidence following their 4-0 win in the Copa del Rey and ahead of a tough clash against Villarreal.

There has been much speculation about the future of Carlo Ancelotti, and even more since a press conference where he admitted his interest in coaching Brazil. Today, following the team's day off and a massive performance against Barcelona, the coach revealed he is still keen on keeping his job with Los Blancos for a long time.

Replying to a question about his desire to switch sides with Xavi Hernández, the Italian boss shared how happy he is to be coaching the Spanish giants, and how he would like to remain their coach for years to come.

"I wouldn't change jobs with Xavi for all the money in the world. First, because I couldn't coach Barcelona, and secondly, because I am very happy here. I am employed by the best club in the world and I feel loved here," Ancelotti said.

The veteran boss went on about how his tenure with the club deserves some respect, while also sharing the impressive numbers he has racked up since his first stint with Los Blancos.

"After 1,272 games I have nothing to prove to anyone. I don't remember exactly what happened in each game, but I realized a few weeks ago. I thought I had already passed 1,300 games, and I thought so many games deserved to be celebrated. Out of those 1,272 games so far, the Camp Nou game will certainly be among the top ten," Ancelotti added.

Before the press conference came to an end, Ancelotti hinted that things could unfold in a similar way for Real Madrid during the final stretch of the season, where one key game ignited the spark they needed to win the UEFA Champions League and the La Liga title.

"There is not a big difference between last season and this one in terms of football. The fact that we have games like the one against Barcelona boosts our confidence. Everything started against PSG, but what is really important is that I see our players really close to each other and filled with hope. All of them, including those who don't have much playing time," Ancelotti concluded.

The Spanish giants will try to put to good use the ego boost handed by their Copa del Rey win against Barcelona to reduce the gap between them and Els Culers in La Liga. Their first chance to do so will come during the weekend, when they will be hosting Villarreal.
