The Italian has been linked heavily with the Selecao job, and with a year remaining on his Los Blancos contract, many tip the 63-year-old to depart this summer.

Will Carlo Ancelotti be the manager of Real Madrid next season?

This is the question on everyone's mind given the recent links between the highly-rated Italian tactician and the coveted Brazil national team job, which has been vacant since the departure of Tite following the Selecao's 2022 FIFA World Cup exit.

According to several reports, the South American giants have named the former AC Milan and Chelsea boss as their number one target, and with Brazilian players publicly flirting with the idea of Ancelotti taking up that job, a Santiago Bernabeu departure has appeared inevitable.

However, the 63-year-old has one more year left on his Los Blancos contract, which begs the question: will the revered Italian fail to fulfill his current commitment and leave the Spanish capital this summer?

Ancelotti spoke about his future during a press conference for Saturday's showdown with Cadiz, with the manager dropping the biggest hint yet regarding his future. The six-time UEFA Champions League winner — twice as a player and four times as a manager — started by reiterating his respect for Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

The tactician later revealed his prediction for the future, admitting that he sees himself remaining in Madrid come next season.

"The president has always been very kind towards me, and he still is. We must look forward," Ancelotti said.

"The club is very calm. I receive a lot of affection. I think I'll be here next season, no doubt, we'll respect the contract."

Real Madrid fans will appreciate these words but this doesn't mean his stay is confirmed. With Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino being on the mark, Perez could always opt for a managerial change this summer.

Los Blancos have all but lost their Spanish Primera Divison crown, with Barcelona sitting 13 points ahead with only 10 games left. However, the Spanish giants have one foot in the UEFA Champions League semifinals after beating Chelsea 2-0 in the first leg of their quarterfinal matchup.
